Under the warm early summer sunshine, the General Manager of TSH Biopharm personally led employee volunteers to the Fengshuwo Leopard Cat Rice paddies in Tongxiao, Miaoli. Today’s event went far beyond a corporate ecological initiative—it blossomed into a cross-generational gathering for collective well-being. We specially invited our long-standing partners from the Shigang branch of the Old Five Old Foundation (including 4 staff members, 3 seniors, and 5 senior volunteers) alongside 7 teachers and students from local Shigang Junior High School, forming a "Three-Generation Ecological Guardian Team" to practice eco-friendly farming together!

Under the expert guidance of the Leopard Cat Rice farming team, everyone demonstrated exceptional teamwork through thoughtful physical assessment and division of labor. Guided and demonstrated by the seasoned elders (for whom this traditional craftsmanship was second nature), corporate volunteers and Shigang Junior High students dug into the soil, carried sturdy bamboo poles, and jointly erected towering "raptor perches" across the fields.

Behind this initiative lies the brilliant wisdom of nature: elevating these perches attracts predatory birds of prey—such as the black-winged kite—to roost and hunt across the paddies, leveraging natural ecological food chains to control rodent populations. This nature-based solution eliminates the need for harmful chemical rodenticides, preserving a safe, pristine foraging habitat and a bountiful "kitchen" for the protected leopard cat!

While erecting the heavy perches required substantial physical effort, the fields resonated with continuous laughter. Seniors and older volunteers from the Old Five Old Foundation cheered everyone on, engaging in lively, heartwarming interactions with the young students and corporate volunteers.
